Make a Difference by Becoming a Volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of our mission at Bee First Hospice Care. The love, respect and care they provide our patients and their families are vital to their overall well-being during a challenging time. Our volunteers are essential members of the team as they offer both practical assistance and compassionate care.

Endless Opportunities

As a volunteer, your primary goal is to provide assistance and emotional support without compensation from a hospice patient, family or hospice team member. Our volunteers provide compassion and companionship while investing time to empower others for personal and spiritual growth in their lives and yours. We welcome the following types of volunteers:

  • Patient Direct Care – Face to face with the patient(s)
  • Clerical Staff – Support team in the office
  • Professional Volunteer – Licensed professionals
  • Bereavement – Following up with the family after the passing of a patient

All newly recruited volunteers will require training and supervision before given an assignment to provide patient direct care or assistance in the hospice office.

Requirements

It takes a very special person to assist a terminally ill patient in their end-of-life journey. • Preferred high school diploma
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Agree to and pass a drug screening exam
